AcTIKIvities (#527)

March 31, 2026·43 min·3 clips
Gary's friends laughed with joy when he realized he's become the chubby middle-aged white guy tiki bar stereotype.
Gary is not Chris. He makes that clear with the missing mouth licks, then brings in Matt Fondelier and Mike Dawson as fellow survivors of whatever happened the night before. The room is already halfway into the bit. A ninety-minute Zoom hangs over the episode because it was not recorded, which only makes the awkward parts sound more important. Nobody lets it pass. Gary says the moment that stuck with him was not exactly kind to Matt, and that is enough to turn it into a tiny courtroom exhibit. Then they move into comments. Patreon and the Facebook group should be simple housekeeping, but regular Facebook ruins that almost immediately. Gary says he landed there by accident, saw a few posts, and escaped back to Bobo Boy Army Worldwide LLC like the group was a storm shelter. Dawson does not need much convincing. The first comment brings up Slap Mac, a viral app that detects MacBook slaps and makes the laptop answer with moans, farts, punches, or meme-style noises. The idea irritates them and tempts them at the same time. The joke is partly the app, because the app is ridiculous. Mostly, though, it is work. Gary sees five thousand dollars in three days and starts resenting every sensible choice that kept him from building dumb little tech toys. Humanity takes a hit too. The room looks at all this technical progress and lands on laptop slap reactions and novelty car sounds. The back half turns to podcast housekeeping, with Gary pointing listeners toward Riggle's Picks, Rob Riggle's Bill Maher episode, and the show's ongoing habit of making Duncan the target. Then they head to Patreon. Messy, quick, allergic to normal.
