Arman Tsarukyan is the fight that would make Ilya Topuria “the champ” against a real contender.

The pain starts with Batista. Mario turns the recap into a bad-ticket autopsy, and Jordan keeps poking at the habit of backing fighters who share their names. It gets loose fast. They run through Batista's price movement, the Oliveira read, and the future champion ticket that suddenly feels pretty sick. Jordan is not exactly stunned, though. Batista had faced better opposition, came in with the right idea, and made the ranking jump look a lot less dramatic than the panic suggested. Then Ilya takes over the room. He is back in the gym, the divorce joke gets worked in, and the hosts start workshopping White House-card opponents. It is pure sports-radio business: toss out a name, rate the juice from one to five, argue about whether the matchup sells itself. Justin Gaethje is first up, and the answer is rough. Two. The issue is not that Gaethje lacks respect; it is that the host thinks Teporia gets him out of there in the first round, which kills the suspense before the debate can get warm. They try to dress it up with the American-versus-Spaniard angle, but even that does not rescue the pitch. The segment is fun because the bettor and the fan keep interrupting each other. Rankings matter, narratives matter, card placement matters, and none of them get to win clean. By the end, the conversation slides toward UFC Houston. Carlos Leal gets an early lean over Chidi Njikawane, mostly as a bounce-back spot where the host expects a cleaner, safer showing after the last mistake. The card still takes damage on the way out. There may be action next time. The card itself may still be rough.
