Best Bets for EPL Festive Fixtures | Battle of Boxing Day at Old Trafford, Chelsea vs Villa, & More!

·33 min·3 clips

Devin and Jordan kick off their Christmas show with drinks, ready to dive into EPL festive fixtures.

This episode focuses on betting predictions for the English Premier League's festive period fixtures. Hosts Dev and Jord, who run the soccer betting podcast "The Soccer Sharps," record the show on Christmas Day. Both hosts mention they have been drinking various alcoholic beverages, including beers, Bloody Marys, and Limoncello, setting a relaxed tone. The analysis is confined exclusively to upcoming EPL matches, with plans for another show covering the following midweek's games. They reference the unique scheduling of the festive period, where games come "thick and fast," and note there are no matches actually played on Christmas Day itself. The hosts contrast their soccer focus with their current gambling on American sports like the NBA and NFL, which they describe as outside their main expertise. They invite live viewers to share their own betting plays and predictions in the chat. A notable insight is the hosts' admission that their holiday drinking has them "feeling loose as a goose" before analyzing the matches. Their commentary blends personal holiday celebration with professional betting analysis, creating a unique backdrop. The episode's value is presented as timely, pre-game analysis for a specific, congested period in the soccer calendar. The tone is highly conversational, casual, and celebratory, reflecting the Christmas recording context. The style is opinion-driven analysis aimed at generating specific betting recommendations. Soccer bettors looking for EPL-focused tips during the holiday fixture congestion would enjoy this episode. Listeners seeking a strictly sober, data-heavy analytical approach or coverage of other leagues might prefer to skip it.
