Is Donald Trump Creating the Conditions for Another World War?

January 9, 2026·44 min·4 clips

Evan Osnos asks if Donald Trump is creating conditions for another world war just one week into 2026.

The hosts analyze Donald Trump's aggressive foreign policy actions in his second term, including military interventions in Venezuela and threats to annex Greenland, questioning if this unraveling of international norms could lead to another world war. They explore the psychological drivers behind Trump's decisions, the erosion of NATO alliances, and the domestic political failures to mount effective opposition.
