Danhausen Interview - FROM THE VAULT!

March 4, 2026·44 min·4 clips
Danhausen appears without makeup or character, revealing the real Donovan behind the wrestling persona for the first time.
Donovan Danhausen shows up regular and normal. The room gets loose fast, with Matt Cardona, Brian Myers, and Smart Mark Sterling needling him about bad Wi-Fi and Brody's late upgrade. Australia comes up almost immediately. Cardona remembers Danhausen moving a lot of merch there, which makes the rough connection even funnier. Then they settle into toy-counter talk: the Hardy two-pack, a possible Whatnot deal, Ringside sellouts, and Unrivaled 13 being hard to find. Danhausen takes his time picking a favorite. The ROH figure matters because it has his independent look, his first cape, and the ridiculous jar of teeth. The jar gets the respect it deserves. A bit that started stupid has become a toy more than once, and that still seems wild to him. The hosts call him an ROH legend. Danhausen says he writes that when he signs them, and everyone treats it with the right amount of nonsense. Merch takes over next. Myers likes Danhausen's design sense, especially how his shirts avoid the usual template. Danhausen brings up the Ben Cooper-style boxed Halloween masks, which looked great to him even if they only did fine as merch. The conversation never gets too formal. It keeps bouncing through figure variants, prototypes, tights, merch instincts, and what makes someone look like a real pro. By the end, Danhausen is talking rubbery prototypes, red tights, someone getting pissed, pink tights, and four different looks for four Australia shows. Chavo Guerrero energy gets invoked. It feels less like a tidy interview and more like collectors comparing shelves while a wrestler shows the receipts.
