Complete History of T2 Figures - FROM THE VAULT!

April 8, 2026·1 hr 10 min·6 clips
Brian Myers confesses Terminator 2 'doesn't resonate' with him, despite its iconic status.
Terminator 2, but filtered through toy-aisle forensics. Matt Cardona and Brian Myers get past the ad clutter and settle into the T2 figure line, where every odd collector detail gets its turn. Arnold versus Stallone takes the first detour. The talk bends into box-office rivalry, the Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot rumor, and the kind of prank logic that somehow sounds right for Arnold. Then the toys take over. They count seven figures, sort the names, argue the gimmicks, and work out which ones feel shelf-worthy. Secret Weapon Terminator gets called out. Blaster T-1000 gets compared with Kenner-style action features, Ghostbusters energy, and Beetlejuice pull-back mechanics. Battle Damage Terminator lands well. The removable chest plate matters because the endoskeleton underneath is exactly the sort of detail this show treats like evidence. Power Arm Terminator gets crowned quickly. They keep coming back to that one as the definitive get, mostly because the arm-changing gimmick lodged itself in memory and stayed there. Technical Punch Terminator is present. Exploding T-1000 makes sense as the clean opponent for Power Arm Terminator in this little plastic universe. John Connor has the motorcycle. Even the paint master turns into a topic, because missing knee hinges are not background noise once collectors start talking production minutiae. The movie talk never fully leaves. It hangs beside the figure talk as fuel for more Arnold lore, rivalry chatter, and quick little confirmations. Nobody slows down much. That is the charm here: names, variants, features, memories, corrections, and half-finished tangents moving like a toy bin being dumped out. The ending stays in the sci-fi lane. After T2, they pick Coneheads as the palate cleanse, clock the figures, and close with the inevitable hasta la vista nod.
