Symbiosis: Metal and Art – Brent Howard on Mentors, Meaning, and Making
·1 hr 34 min·5 clips
Brent Howard cold-called Louise Bourgeois from the phone book—and she answered, launching a transformative 10-year apprenticeship.
As heard by us
A metalworker's story about art, mentorship, and learning the hard way.
This episode stays simple on purpose: Kidd visits Anchor & Key Ironworks Studio and sits down with Brent Howard, who talks about welding, studio labor, and the odd but real overlap between art school and blue-collar work.
Why you'd press play
For when you want an artist story with shop-floor grit and a hard-won mentor line.
