The Joe Rogan Experience · Joe Rogan

#2464 - Priyanka Chopra Jonas

March 5, 2026·2 hr 31 min·5 clips
Priyanka Chopra Jonas on meeting Caymanians whose Indian ancestors were dropped on islands as indentured servants.
The opening is awkward in a pretty human way. The guest says she is nervous before the conversation has really begun, and Joe seems almost confused by that because they have never met. He keeps it casual. The guest list is his, he says, which makes the room easier because he only books people he actually wants to talk to. Her movie gives them the first real spark. Joe expected pirates, but not sword violence that grabs him from the first scene. He sounds caught off guard, less like a critic than someone trying to picture what it feels like to shoot something that brutal. Then the whole thing swerves. A horrible story about monkeys opens into ancestry, savagery, intelligence, and what humans might really be. The guest stays with him. Joe brings up ancient aliens, Chariots of the Gods, and Erik von Daniken in that familiar mix of memory, speculation, and half belief. He does not act certain. He says he leans toward something intervening in human development, then imagines an older path of technology unlike combustion engines, electronics, and electricity. The pyramid thread takes over from there: huge stone blocks, unknown cutting methods, possible structures underneath. It is more wonder than argument. By the end, both of them seem amused by how far they got from the movie. They call it time travel, and that feels about right.
