Episode 101: The Weekly Schedule That Helps Investors Close More Deals

March 18, 2026·25 min·2 clips
Why focusing on work, not results, is the key to catching deals in real estate investing.
The host starts with heaven. A Bible class question about what heaven looks like becomes a more practical investor question: what would your perfect week actually look like? That is the turn. If perfect is planned on purpose, your week probably should not be handed over to the first fire that shows up. He gets personal right away. His top priority is losing a hundred pounds and getting his health right this year, before the business goals take over the room. Then comes the money target. He wants the real estate side, wholesale splits, education, consulting, and coaching to land at a hundred thousand a month consistently. Some months hit 300K. Some months are closer to 20K. So this is not a hype speech. It is about building a week that gives consistency a chance. Family time stays real, too. Every Sunday, his family eats together, and he treats that like an appointment, not whatever is left after work. The plan itself is very literal: a Sunday-to-Saturday schedule, a binder, and a Sunday planning habit that usually includes his wife. He looks at coming fires, payroll weeks, priorities, and weekly goals before Monday gets a vote. The business point is blunt. If you have project managers and salespeople, your calendar should pull you toward managing the business instead of doing everybody else's job. Office time matters at this stage. Morning is for deep work after his workout, with the 8:15 to noon window saved for planning and training the team. Acquisition calls are different. A disciplined morning can still be the wrong window if people answer more after late morning. Plan the perfect week, sure. Just make it fit health, family, business priorities, and the hours when deals actually move.
