The Motherless Son, Part 1 | Pendragon: Under an Iron Sky | Chaosium

April 7, 2026·1 hr 49 min·9 clips
Joe O'Brien discovers official Pendragon rules for 'cucking' while prepping for the new campaign.
First comes the membership pitch. The cold open gives its time to GCN support, ad-free extras, and that table-family feeling before the actual Pendragon gears start turning. Then everyone wakes up. Sir Quiggan, Sir Carradoc, and Dame Safina roll intrigue, and one crit plus one pass changes what the room knows. Boxes get checked. Lord Idwallan gets laid out as a minor lord beneath Robyn, tied by land and homage to the late Lord Filbert. That matters right away. Lady Gwynhild's connection to Filbert turns loose gossip into a little feudal pressure cooker. Sir Quiggan falls behind. Everyone but him gets the useful material, which is exactly the kind of table unfairness this group can make funny. Lord Idwallan is pagan. The reveal does not get a lecture. It just drops into a hall already full of social tripwires. Sir Carradoc gets extra trouble for his crit, which brings back the earlier letter, the one Lord Idwallan answered with cheerful interest in visiting many halls. Suspicion kicks in fast. The table immediately latches onto the idea that a charming, handsome lord may be stepping into their business for reasons nobody quite trusts. Joseph is summoned inside. Sir Quiggan wants the doors closed behind him, which apparently leaves the other knights shut out in classic messy-table fashion. Then the ads come back hard. Realms of Peril and Glory and Sonic the Hedgehog close the excerpt, so the real juice is the intrigue-roll scene in the middle.
