Bridget brings Bev Mazza back to the show. Bev says she wanted to share what she has been working on over the past year or so, and Bridget gives her the space to update listeners without letting it drag. Bev is a board certified nurse coach and integrative health consultant. Her focus is pre-diabetes, weight loss, and continuous glucose monitor interpretation, so the conversation stays centered on blood sugar care and practical coaching. She talks about Purely Present Health. The practice now offers a personalized blood sugar breakthrough strategy session, along with a 90-day program for people who want ongoing guidance, accountability, and a more complete plan. Bev explains why she split the offer. A longer program can be a bigger financial step, especially since she does not take insurance in private practice, so the new structure gives people a more manageable way to begin. The strategy session is a 90-minute deep dive. Before that call, she asks for a medical release, the most recent clinic note, a physical, and ideally labs from the last three months so she can review the clinical picture before she ever speaks with the client. She would love full-spectrum functional medicine labs. When those are not available, she at least wants a CMP, an A1C, thyroid labs, and a lipid panel, and she notes that many people already have those results somewhere in their chart. If they do not, she has a templated letter they can take to their doctor or use to check their record. She is careful about scope. Bev says she is not ordering the labs and is coming in as a second set of eyes on what has already been done and on the recommendations that were already made. From there, the call blends nurse coaching and lifestyle coaching. She talks through habits, context, and next steps in a way that keeps the focus on what the person can actually do. The whole structure is meant to stay practical. That means people who are not ready for a 90-day commitment can still get support, while the fuller program remains there for anyone who wants more structure and accountability. The episode lands as a clear look at how a nurse-led consult can meet blood sugar concerns with both clinical review and everyday guidance.
