The Falcon - The Case Of The Gorgeous Greek

March 15, 2026·28 min·2 clips
George Venizelos is shot dead after calling to reveal the communist leader's identity.
The Falcon cancels his rain check. Army intelligence is sending him to Athens, where a proud marksman may already have him lined up. Café Olympia gets things moving. Theodorus Gunario seems harmless enough, until the narration makes clear that flies matter more to him than people. That is the joke, and it lands mean. George Venizelos then walks in expecting the Falcon and finds Eddie Welch instead, parked there with a lesson from the hotel switchboard. Welch has been listening. One call gives him the angle, and George finds out too late that wires have ears. The case takes its shot. The broadcast even stops for a hard traffic warning before snapping back to George's ugly finish. Mike arrives after the damage. He misses the official-looking car outside, but the man at the door gets his attention fast. Questions pile up. There is a line, a cigarette preference, and plenty nobody wants to say out loud. Iris has already given George the air. Nicholas, George's brother, has a loyalty colder than family, and that fact carries the murder. The lieutenant wants a cleaner answer. Mike gives him Cain and Abel, then brings it down to party first, brother second. The final crack is dry: romance can start trouble, but an affair with the Communist Party asks for murder.

As heard by us

Athens, a family feud, and enough wisecracks to keep the danger moving.

The case sends the Falcon to Athens, where a marksmanship boast and a careless hotel call help set a murder in motion. The pace stays sharp, and the episode keeps finding dry reversals in the middle of what looks, at first, like simple trouble.
