Raj Jambon fills in as host and opens with a hometown frame for the South Lafourche marching Tarpon Band. The guests introduce themselves in the familiar down-the-bayou way, with family names, school backgrounds, and ties to the area. Randy Chasson says he grew up in Thibodaux, graduated from Thibodaux High in 1997, went through Nichols, and has been at South Lafourche for 21 years. Scotty Trosclair and Reggie Lejean add the board-side view and the family ties that keep them involved. The conversation treats the band like part of the town, not just another school activity. People see it on Friday nights with the Fighting Tarpons and again during Mardi Gras season, marching up and down LA-1. The guests talk through what that looks like: kids warming up, getting into uniform, stretching out, then heading through the parade route. It sounds simple, but the route is long and the work is real. Parades can run four or five miles, and the kids have to be in shape to carry instruments and keep moving. A lot of the discussion stays on the practical side. Some students still need money to go to Disney, and anyone who wants to sponsor a kid can contact one of them. The booster club comes up too, along with the parents, the board, the director, and everyone else who does the work people do not always see. There is a plain pride in the kids from the area, but the episode makes clear that pride is tied to effort. The miles are real, and so is the support that keeps the band going.
