Ep. 37 - Beards And Beatboxing w/ Tyler Boeh

·1 hr 8 min·4 clips
Keith Nelson got hit in the head during a Dickinson bar show, then the crowd said they hated the foreman.
Taylor Nielsen opens with the usual Dry Bar looseness. Steve Solberg is in the seat instead of Jordan Macon. He says he did his research, then jokes about having "killed" Jordan and being the last-minute replacement. The bit stays loose and moving. Tyler Boeh joins the conversation and keeps it casual. The topic turns to a comedy show that almost turns into a fight. A huge man in the room helps set the scene and makes it clear how bad it felt. Tyler talks about Keith Nelson, a comic who looked ready to stand with him if things got physical. Security gets between the angry guy and the stage before the situation blows up. Keith finishes the set anyway, bleeding down the side of his head. After the show, the bar talk changes the story. The workers start talking about the foreman who caused the trouble. They say they cannot stand him. They explain that he only has the title because his dad owns the company. Tyler notes that nobody liked him and that the crew would have backed the comic if it had come to blows. It turns a near-disaster into a strange road story. The episode stays conversational and loose, then wraps with Tyler's site and social plugs and a freestyle goodbye.

As heard by us

A thrown bottle and a bleeding comic power the episode's best road story.

The Dry Bar Comedy Podcast episode keeps a loose, table-talk rhythm as Taylor Nielsen and fill-in host Steve Solberg trade jokes about Jordan Macon, a fake murder, and the scramble of hosting without him.
