Fighting Off a Flood with a Broom Stick

·1 hr 15 min·4 clips
“I stayed out there pushing it with a push broom back into the flow.”
The flood is already old news to them. Chad is in Globe, not Hereford, which matters because the football crowd apparently got lost in the videos and hashtags. Even the call has to fight through its own weather first. Zoom, Riverside, Safari updates, and Alex Day's setup problems make the opening feel like the smaller disaster before the water gets its turn. Chad keeps circling back to the same chore: shoveling mud that refuses to become finished. The room tries to figure out whether this flood is new, old, or tied to the 2021 mess that came through the door, but nobody can keep it clean for long. The story slides into bathroom logistics, outdoor habits, and the comedy of trying to stay decent in a yard that has stopped cooperating. Then the creek becomes the kind of moral test only this show would enjoy. Chad admits he tossed an empty beer can into the water because the town is already full of everybody else's trash. Naturally, the room makes it worse. Soon there is a pool skimmer, an old-man gold-panning image, and drones hauling weed and beer through flood country. The washed-out bridge adds real danger under the stupidity. Chad says he crossed it anyway because supplies were low and being trapped had worn thin. Then Ed Gein drifts in from Netflix, because apparently that is where the conversation had to go. By the end, Chad sounds genuinely grateful. The call helped. They answer with mock concern, insults, and affection. The mud stays ugly. Tulsa still needs an audience.
