Castle-Squat Kenny (The Kenny Saga #3)

·56 min·3 clips
Kenny says he walked to work on mushrooms and acid, then went to sleep at his restaurant job.
The update starts sideways. The panel gets stuck on bodies, smoking, walking around the pit, and whether a podcast-worn coat could be worth auctioning off. Memory is up for grabs too. One person remembers a pricey sport coat on eBay while the Hitching Post bill turns into a twelve-dollar blur. That gives Kenny his runway. His update does not come out like a clean confession. It gets heckled, resized, and dragged through every joke within reach. Then cancer enters the room. Kenny describes a former partner facing another serious diagnosis, and the others immediately go looking for the darkest laugh available. Nobody gets noble. The joke is that he escaped just in time. The sting is that Kenny knows how awful that sounds. The panel keeps pushing. Treatment delays, substance use, and camping with grown kids become a bleak logistics problem nobody should be laughing at, but everyone is. Kenny sounds boxed in, caught between relief, guilt, fear, and the breakup damage still clinging to his reputation. The room refuses to soften. Even when the facts are grim, the conversation hunts for the loose screw, the bad timing, the terrible phrasing. That is the engine. A medical crisis turns into a relationship autopsy, then a reputation story, then another chance to pile onto Kenny. The ending does not clean anything up. It drifts into unheard stories, police beats, and the running gag that any police beat might secretly be Kenny.

As heard by us

A filthy, sideways catch-up that turns bad news, cheap coats, and police beats into one long riff.

It opens with a grim, funny catch-up about weight, chain smoking, and an expensive sport coat from eBay, then drifts into the foul-mouthed medical and neighborhood gossip the show handles best.
