The Dollop with Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds · All Things Comedy

706 - Mike Lindell - Part One

·1 hr 23 min·5 clips
Mike Lindell's mom suddenly forces him to leave his lakeside home for a trailer park next to a pickle factory at age seven.
The Dollop opens with tour announcements for the March 2026 shows in Buffalo, Syracuse, Boston, Bridgeport, New York, Albany, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Washington DC, plus the charity Cats film watching event at the Hollywood Food Coalition. Dave Anthony establishes that Gareth Reynolds is now officially his enemy for failing to attend the Chicago lunch with the Knowledge Fight hosts after promising to come, calling it the beginning of a new antagonistic era. The recording format is unusual: both Dave and Gareth are in the same tour hotel but recording remotely via Zoom to avoid what they call the Luke factor, referring to their tour manager Luke who is somehow involved in every instance of technical complication, including having accidentally slept in the van for seven hours in the Rocky Mountains with the engine running. They also discover that Luke had been riding with two dollhead mannequins in the van as an emergency preparedness measure, which escalates into a discussion of Luke bringing an emergency gas canister that required explaining. Mike Lindell was born in 1961 in Mankato, Minnesota. Dave begins with Lindell's mother's remembered description of his birth environment: in those days there was smoking and there was sugar and nobody cared. This establishes the frame for a subject Dave acknowledges is so extensive it may require three episodes to cover properly, with researcher Josh and Droste having compiled a dossier on Lindell's full biography that Dave says he cannot believe he is committed to reading in its entirety on a tour bus. The early Lindell material covers his childhood environment, the influences that shaped his later entrepreneurial and political trajectory, and the personal history that preceded his MyPillow empire.
