After this period, at a house meeting, he was prompted to pray for healing. A teenage girl with scoliosis stepped forward; when he prayed, her spine straightened and shoulders leveled out. For the following two weeks, everyone he prayed for was healed, including his mother and a neighbor. Then the anointing ceased. God told him it was a taste of future ministry. Fenn also briefly references John 5:35 regarding John the Baptist's seasonal ministry. He concludes by reiterating that short seasons of spiritual intensity or attack are normal, often a combination of Satan's opposition and God's fatherly instruction, not a sign of personal failure.
