Arteta contract talks underway & Arsenal to consider bids for MLS & Nwaneri?

April 9, 2026·1 hr 37 min·8 clips
Sophie Nicolau explains why she's stopped fearing Arsenal's title chase after the Carabao Cup final heartbreak.
The mood starts warmly. Harry comes in late, has a laugh about two Greeks talking Easter and village news, then brings Sophie Nicolau into a loose Arsenal chat. The hurt is still sitting there, though. Once the Carabao Cup final comes up, he says it plainly: Arsenal were flat, dire, and deeply disappointing. So what now? That question keeps pulling the episode along, mate, because Harry will not let one awful Wembley afternoon ruin everything Arsenal still have in front of them. He understands the frustration. He says he was angry in the moment, angry the day after, and maybe still angry when the failure felt big enough. Then he catches himself. Football does not hit him the same way it did when he was younger. It feels less like constant punishment now, and more like something supporters still have to live with while the season is happening. Easy to say, harder to do when everyone is asking whether Arsenal can hold the run together and finally get over the line. Even so, he wants noise. Not the pile-on noise after a defeat, when plenty of people want Arsenal to crumble, but the useful kind around the team while there is still something to play for. The final killed him. It was his first time covering Arsenal at Wembley, with all the build-up and hype around it, and he is not pretending otherwise. But he keeps coming back to the same point: does that pain mean supporters should stop enjoying a possible Champions League semifinal or the title run ahead? No. Save the proper post-mortem for the end, when there is room to look back and be honest. For now, back the team. Warm, firm, and very much a supporter talking himself out of a sulk before a massive Bournemouth game.

As heard by us

A steady Arsenal support conversation that keeps Wembley in view without letting it take over the whole season.

Harry Simi and Sophie Nicolau keep the Arsenal chat focused on perspective. The Carabao Cup final still hurts, and the pain is not brushed aside, but the point is that one flat day at Wembley does not have to define the whole season.
