93.BGA Alphabetical 7 Wonders- Agricola (3 Players w/ Kimmy & Phil)

·53 min·4 clips
Phil says Seven Wonders didn't translate well online, missing the physical card-passing experience.
Okay, this one has full table-chat energy. Phil and Kimmy are back, Ryan is absent, and the host explains that the BGA alphabetical project has reached the games that need three players. Kimmy solves that problem, so they can return to skipped titles, starting with regular Seven Wonders and its ages, resources, buildings, and neighbor pressure. They do not stay there long. The meat of the episode is the other game, which seems workable on paper but flat in play. The host sounds genuinely disappointed. The mechanism does function, sure, but nothing gives it much bite. Phil is mostly on the same page. Age of Galaxy becomes the easy comparison, because its theme feels more fun, cleaner, and livelier to them. Space helps, apparently. They kick around the idea that Age of Galaxy may have taken a dull but functional system and dressed it up into something with more spark. The host's bad time gets specific. He thinks he missed shield development, lost wars because of it, and eventually had nobody left to place. Once that happened, turns just became passes. She likes worker placement, gathering resources, and building a civilization through mathematics, engineering, and writing. Still, the replay itch is weak. She also gets annoyed that some spaces became unavailable before she understood what was happening, though the table admits that may be a rules problem. The episode closes with housekeeping: two Utah events, a request for ratings and reviews after a comment-free one-star review, and a wobbly Anchor FM outro.
