The Bible Guys · Jeff Forester & Chris Zarbaugh

Bible Guys Classics: Galatians 1

March 2, 2026·24 min·2 clips
Paul declares a curse on anyone preaching a different gospel, revealing his intense concern for the Galatian churches turning away so soon.
The rerun wrapper matters. Chris and Jeff explain that the show is on hiatus until August 31st while a new studio and a new structure come together. Then they stall a bit, in the friendliest way possible, with a top-five cities question before Galatians takes over. Paul is pictured as a pen-pal figure writing to churches he had visited after finally coming home, but the passage has an edge. He says his gospel did not come from a human source. It came by revelation from Jesus Christ. His past stays ugly on purpose: he once violently persecuted the church and tried to destroy the faith he now preaches. That reversal becomes part of his case. The guys hear Paul proving his calling because the churches are already being tugged toward false teaching. Arabia, Damascus, three years, Jerusalem, Peter, 15 days, and James all point back to the same thing: Paul's message was not borrowed. The tone still feels pastoral, almost stunned by how quickly people are wandering. The application is plain. Stay close to faithful guides, but if they teach against God's word, trust has to change.
