Tips if you are stuck with Unrequited Love

April 8, 2026·34 min·2 clips
Greg says you should never beg or plead to be loved or desired by your partner.
Unrequited love gets a pretty blunt translation here. The host starts with the version anyone can recognize: you keep giving and giving, and still do not feel loved back. That hurts, and he does not dress it up. Then he moves past the label and asks what changed in the relationship. Respect is a big piece. He says couples can rebuild a lot, but once respect is gone, getting it back is hard. Safety is another piece. A partner may stop giving love because they do not feel safe, or because something else shifted. So the work is to ask better questions, not beg louder. Can your partner tell you what changed? Do they know? Or do they say nothing happened and simply fell out of love? That answer leads somewhere different. The host also separates being in love from the steadier love built by repeated behavior. The feeling comes and goes. Loyalty, respect, honesty, trust, and having each other's back are what give it somewhere to return. Feelings are real, but he warns they are not always accurate. Repair needs behavior, and sometimes even medical issues may be part of what has to be named.

Direct advice for when love is not being returned.

The episode treats unrequited love as the hurt of giving without getting much back, then pivots through a movie that does not quite line up in title or plot to open a plain talk about marriage and relationships.
