The Praying Mum with PT. 80 Q & R. Q- Quarrelsome. R - Rebellion

December 30, 2025·15 min·1 clip
Pastor Tayo opens with Isaiah 54:13, declaring all children should be taught by the Lord for great peace.
The episode opens with a morning prayer of thanksgiving and the host's declaration that she is continuing her A-to-Z prayer series, now at the letter Q. She introduces Q for Quarrelsome and explains the psychological backdrop: children's quarrelsome behavior may come from frustration, unmet needs, hunger, tiredness, difficulty expressing emotions, attention-seeking, or exposure to conflict in the home, school, or media. She frames quarrelsomeness as a spiritual issue to be prayed against as well as a developmental one. She leads prayers for children to be emotionally healed of insecurity or pain that fuels anger, and for them to be filled with love and security. Proverbs 17:19 is read — 'Whoever loves a quarrel loves sin' — and the prayer follows that children will avoid fights and become peacemakers. Proverbs 20:3 is then read — 'It is to one's honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel' — and a prayer rebukes the spirit of strife. Colossians 4:6 is cited: 'Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.' The host prays for children to speak life and peace rather than react in anger, and for the fruit of the Spirit — especially self-control — to operate in them. She transitions to R for Rebellion, quoting 1 Samuel 15:23: 'Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.' This frames rebellion as a spiritual stronghold. She then prays Ezekiel 36's new-heart promise over children — that God will take out hearts of stone and give hearts of flesh. She prays for every stronghold of rebellion to be broken, for children's hearts to soften, and for a new spirit that desires to obey God. Second Timothy 2:26 is invoked to pray that children escape the devil's snare, and John 10:5 is used to declare that children will recognize God's voice and not follow a stranger's voice. The closing prayer thanks God for breaking rebellion and quarrelsomeness and for peace and calmness over children. Ministry contact details for Prayer and Liberation Ministries are given.
