Texas Rangers - Killers Crop

April 7, 2026·30 min·1 clip
Kitty tells the killer 'I'm sick of the whole rotten, filthy mess — I'm getting out,' not knowing he has already brought her boss to the bushes behind her.
The case turns on residue. Jace Pearson hears from the sheriff that Captain Stinson has sent the lab reports to his office. The hunch holds up. Tiny particles from Kitty Barrows's trunk point to narcotics moving through her car. Then the tire treads add a stranger clue: insecticide, the kind used for spraying crops. That detail changes where they look. A scrap of Mexican newspaper gives them another nudge. It is dusty with powder and shows only four letters at the top: E-N-D-O. Mexico moves from guesswork to real possibility, even with the Border Patrol described as thorough. The motive lands hard. A doctor says Kitty had planned to enter a sanatorium for treatment, which turns her from courier into liability. Jace follows that line cleanly. If Kitty was trying to get out, she may have made herself dangerous to whoever used her. Silence becomes the point. Stinson calls it rotten business, and Jace answers with grim certainty. The procedure stays plain: lab work, tire evidence, paper fragments, and medical information keep narrowing the circle around whoever Kitty was working for. The ending is formal. William Meeker and S.B. Cullen are named as tried for Kitty Barrows's murder, with Meeker sentenced to life and Cullen put to death at Huntsville on November 3rd, 1948. The broadcast frame is still there, with sponsor and re-broadcast material around the drama, so the investigation carries the best clip material.
