The Flash Season 9 Episode 6 Review

·44 min·3 clips
Because I'm not going to lie.
Chris and D-Palm close out the final season. They are talking season 9, episode 6, 'The Good, the Bad, and the Lucky,' where Barry and Iris get ready for a new life, Cecile takes on a case built around a string of unfortunate and highly unexpected events, and Chester works with Keone to sort out her abilities. The Barry absence lands immediately. They call it a familiar Flash move, one of those Barry-light episodes that shows up because of budget or scheduling, and they know full well that understanding the reason does not make the choice feel much better. That complaint never really goes away. One host appreciates the classic comic-book feel and the way the side characters get space to breathe, while the other keeps pointing out that a final season with only 13 episodes does not have time to spend on an hour like this. The argument keeps tightening. They keep returning to the same question of whether the episode is actually doing real story work or just getting by on production reality, and the repeated callbacks give the discussion its bite. They also start freelancing on the logic. Once the conversation drifts into the house setup, they get caught on room sizes, bedroom count, office possibilities, and the kind of layout questions that only matter after the episode has already worn out their patience. Allegra makes it messier. They joke about moving into the telepath's house, worry about the awkward family-boss overlap, and even turn a possible vow-renewal setup into a joke about how the aisle would have to be split. The tangent gets absurd. What begins as a gripe about a missing Barry turns into a full-on spiral about whether the real estate makes sense at all, and the hosts sound increasingly amused by their own nitpicking. That is part of the fun. They are not offering detached criticism so much as relitigating the episode like longtime fans who know the show too well to let an off hour slide. The final-season frustration stays front and center. By the end, the hosts care less about the plot than about the way the episode keeps pushing them toward everything except the thing they came to see. They still wrap cleanly. Before signing off, they mention they'll be back in two weeks, tease a character-corner conversation on the Josh Simpson Flash, and remind listeners to subscribe on the usual podcast platforms.
