WHEN A NATION TURNS AWAY FROM GOD.mp3

February 1, 2026·50 min·4 clips
Pastor Prince warns of a heavy message about what happens when a nation turns away from God.
Fair warning, this message is heavy. Pastor Prince says that plainly before he turns to Ecclesiastes and Judges. The question stays close to the ground: what happens when people still recognize someone who represents God, but lose the nerve to obey him? Judges gives him the frame. He stays with the Levitical priest, a man meant to represent God, who turns cowardly when danger comes to the door. This is not treated like distant history. The concubine's story becomes the warning. Sin gets tolerated, handed off, and left for somebody else to face. The scene is bleak on purpose. A woman is handed over, harmed, left reaching toward a place that should have been safe, and her death becomes the charge against everyone who looked away. Pastor Prince keeps coming back to accountability. He pushes past easy phrases about turning the other cheek when the real issue is silence before evil. If a man or woman of God sees what is wrong and says nothing, the sermon calls that spiritual failure. Then the proof goes out. The Levitical priest takes the body home, divides it into twelve parts, and sends each tribe a message they cannot ignore. The horror becomes the evidence. Pastor Prince uses that image to argue that ignored sin does not stay private. This is rebuke, not comfort. By the closing prayer, the charge has moved from one violent account to the listener's willingness to stand against wickedness. The call is responsibility.

As heard by us

A hard sermon about cowardice, silence, and moral accountability.

This sermon walks through Judges 21 and its grim aftermath with a blunt moral line: silence before evil is not neutrality, and handing responsibility off to someone else is still failure.
