The episode opens in-universe with Alfie Dallon, a vampire, attempting to record an introductory message about vampire survival statistics. An older vampire with a French accent interrupts repeatedly, correcting Alfie's metaphors — particularly objecting to any advice that could be read as telling vampires to go into the sun. The two bicker comedically before the older vampire takes over and delivers a thoughtful monologue about centuries of failed vampire integration efforts. The speech describes the toll visible in old vampires' eyes and argues that vampires and humans can coexist when neither is desperate. Creator Aira then steps out of the fiction to directly announce the Snow Blood crowdfunding campaign — the sequel to Not Quite Dead — launching April 7th, with an October 2026 premiere planned. A second fictional segment then plays a series of voicemails left on Alfie's anonymous tip line by a cautious caller who knows what Alfie is and claims to have important information. The caller has been emailing Alfie and returning to a designated location for months without response, and their final message conveys genuine desperation — saying they are running out of time. The episode closes with creator Aira stepping out of character again to encourage Ko-Fi and Patreon support for access to early episodes, creator's notes, and Spirit Box Radio bonus content.
