Jennifer DeLeon told Jim that she and Skyler had paid cash for the boat and that the Hawks had driven away happy. 19. The family checked the bank records, saw no deposit, and learned that someone had tried to use Tom and Jackie’s ATM card in Encinita, Mexico. 20. Detectives later found Skyler and Jennifer working as cleaners at a church in Long Beach, where Skyler’s explanation for the boat purchase involved acting royalties, real estate, a 2002 armed robbery, and a disputed bill of sale.
