The hosts open by heckling the script and arguing over how to say Stubai. That turns into a quick tour of the Stubai Valley and the Stubai Glacier. The setting reads like a vacation postcard until the missing-person story takes over. Duncan is the case at the center. Linda and Bob are told to accept the official line and wait. They do not. Within weeks of the notification, they head to Austria and begin their own search. They have to work around language barriers and police indifference. They contact hotels, hostels, ski resorts, airlines, transport companies, and known contacts in Austria and Germany. They rent a car and start putting together Duncan’s last movements. Flyers and photos go up wherever they can manage them. The Austrian police do very little beyond dismissing the concern. They point to low crime rates and suggest Duncan is on an extended holiday. Someone even suggests he may have run off with a woman. The hosts push back on that logic, especially when the details do not line up. Duncan had left clothes with Walter before going skiing, and he never came back for them. The family also learns that Duncan did stay in Innsbruck, despite the assurances they were given. The episode keeps its travelogue chatter and dark jokes intact while the facts get uglier. By the end, the human cost of being brushed off carries most of the weight.
