1. Silver Stumps - the Over 60s/70s Cricket Podcast uses the bonus episode On tour at Eastnor and Hursley Park to follow England Seniors cricket at Eastnor Cricket Club and Hursley Park. 2. Trevor speaks with Dave Enwistle, the president of Eastnor Cricket Club, Ivor Richards, the broadcast lead for England Seniors coverage, Jason Corn, the England Lions captain, Kevin Watson, an England player from Yorkshire, and Razzy Ahmed, a Gloucestershire Seniors organiser and player. 3. The episode shows how over-60s and over-70s cricket travels through clubs, broadcast crews, and county structures across one summer tour. 4. Dave Enwistle says Eastnor hosted the England Lions against the USA, and he calls the ground a “quintessential cricket ground in the UK.” 5. He says Eastnor also hosted Worcestershire the previous week and regularly stages National Counties and representative matches for Herefordshire. 6. Dave says the club has hosted National Counties cricket for 20 years because other local clubs no longer want those fixtures. 7. He describes Eastnor’s club set-up as a first team, Sunday side, midweek friendly team, and junior sides from under-9s to under-15s. 8. Dave traces the club’s origins to 1884, when Lord Summers required estate workers to sign up and play cricket for Eastnor. 9. He says he began at Eastnor at about 11 or 12, played until 70, and later became club captain and then president. 10. Dave also recalls a match against Levery Cavaliers where Eastnor made 99, he scored 22, and the opposition were bowled out for five. 11. Ivor Richards explains that his outside broadcast unit and BBA Media support live cricket, corporate events, sporting events, entertainment, and civic events. 12. He says the University of Gloucestershire uses the setup so students can gain real experience in commentating, camera work, vision mixing, and sound mixing. 13. Ivor says the first four or five matches attracted 66,000 clicks and that viewers tuned in from 43 countries. 14. He names Nuala as producer and vision mixer, Benny on camera, and Matt and Owen as commentators on the coverage. 15. Jason Corn says captaincy is easier on the field than off it because organising fixtures and logistics is the harder part. 16. He says Paul Gelder handles much of that logistical work for the Lions, which he describes as a strong addition to the senior setup. 17. Jason says the Lions have played nine matches this summer and have operated from a 34-player squad with call-ups from county cricket. 18. He says the next big target is the over-60s World Cup in Toronto next August, with selectors still watching players on the cusp. 19. Kevin Watson says he treats every match as a chance to win, whether for Fairbairn, Yorkshire, the Lions, or England. 20. Razzy Ahmed says Gloucestershire Seniors has grown to four 50s teams, four 60s teams, two 70s teams, and a women’s senior setup.
