392th BONUS EPISODE SPECTAULAR!

October 15, 2025·1 hr 12 min·5 clips
AYSO canceled all youth soccer games at a Chicago park because ICE was arresting people in the Home Depot parking lot directly across the street that morning.
Four hundred episodes is a weird thing to stare at for too long. The cold open turns gratitude into desk clutter: Patreon support, bonus backlogs, monthly stickers, and book copies all need attention at once. Then bingo takes over. A plan for bespoke trivia bingo gets talked back down into the saner choice, because people already know normal bingo and do not need a whole new system to enjoy it. The joke works because it keeps getting smaller. Event planning turns into a sideways argument about pleasure, repetition, and why improving a simple game can feel suspicious. Then work barges in. One host describes trying to build a detailed timeline from historical newspapers, only to realize the book may need custom software before the book can really move. It sounds like procrastination, but the other host knows the trap. He has also tried Obsidian, Notion, cards, brain-map systems, and the whole productivity carnival. None of it quite fits. The conversation becomes a very funny complaint about tools that promise structure and then fail at the exact messy thing they were hired to solve. It never hardens into a neat writing-process lesson, which helps. It stays frantic in a way that sounds honest. The ending looks backward at older podcast production: separate audio files, hand syncing, Skype calls, and edits running until two or three in the morning. The milestone lands less like a speech than a relieved laugh about all the invisible labor behind the show. A silent salute appears. Nobody can hear it, so of course it belongs.
