Is The Anointing Still Necessary?

September 4, 2024·1 hr 2 min·2 clips

If God anointed Jesus, what makes us think we don't need to be anointed?

Pastor Dennis Martin leads a Bible study exploring whether spiritual anointing remains relevant in modern Christianity. Using scriptural references (Acts 10:38, Isaiah 10:27), he argues that anointing is essential for spiritual authority and effectiveness. He contrasts giftedness (which can exist without spiritual connection) with anointing (which produces tangible spiritual results including yoke-breaking and life transformation). The teaching challenges contemporary church reliance on performance and social media validation, asserting that true spiritual power comes only through anointing by the Holy Spirit.
