SVL | Do Hard Things | "Evangelism"

·37 min·1 clip

She was a brilliant painter, thriving in the city, but she felt called to be a missionary. She gets to Algeria and serves there for 40 years, never leaves it, dies there.

Pastor Jason Thompson concludes the 'Do Hard Things' sermon series by tackling evangelism as a spiritual discipline, using Paul's address at the Areopagus in Acts 17 as a model. He presents five characteristics of good evangelism: having a burden for people, being Spirit-led, asking good questions, using sound reasoning, and meeting people where they are. The sermon includes the story of missionary Lilius Trotter and practical critiques of ineffective approaches like cold door-knocking and angry street preaching.
