·33 min·3 clips
At age 10, Daniela did a neighborhood theater show and knew instantly it was her life's path.
The episode begins with hosts Stephan Levita and Rafaela Quintino introducing the Arte Pode UPE program on Rádio Web UPE. They present news from the University of Pernambuco, including a meeting on art issues with Japan and registration details for the SSA 2024 system. The main interview starts with guest Daniela Travassos, a 25-year-old cultural producer and actress. Daniela explains her academic training in performing arts, history of arts and religions, and cultural management. She recounts how she discovered theater at age 10 through a neighborhood show. Daniela founded Fiandeiros de Teatro 20 years ago with other artists to study and create intelligent children's theater. The company later added a training school and moved to a new, more accessible space on Rua da Saudade. She describes the Teatro do Semente project, which brings theater workshops to children aged 8-10 in Coque and Coelhos communities. During the pandemic, Fiandeiros developed digital projects like the websérie Teatro na Rede, using puppets to teach Pernambuco's cultural traditions. Daniela discusses the challenges of maintaining activities and space during the pandemic. She announces upcoming courses, including theater initiation and vocal technique workshops, and the re-release of the show Strong Wind for Water and Soap. Daniela shares her experience as a mother and balancing work with mental health. She offers advice to aspiring artists, emphasizing professionalization and political engagement in cultural spaces. The episode concludes with thanks and promotion of social media contacts.
