Episode 73

She found her location was secretly shared during a date, sparking fear of being tracked.
A chest keeps yelling. Terry Carnation is trying to run the video store while something in the corner begs to get out and kills the mood immediately. Someone broke the rules, so Terry turns it into a timeout threat, a bruised little aside, and then nudges the show into the next scary story. The ads take up space before the story gets moving. Once it does, the guest is already tense on a first trip to Mexico City. Local contacts have set up a hotel near the Zocalo, and everyone is waiting for the guest to arrive. Then the airport signs start working on the nerves. They tell travelers to use licensed, approved taxis and book through the posted booths. The guest pauses. People are pulling travelers toward kiosks, and the worry about getting overcharged starts wrestling with the worry about choosing wrong. Confidence gets the better of caution for a minute. The guest speaks Spanish, understands Mexican culture, and does not want to feel like a clueless tourist. Instead of using the approved airport service, the guest gets online and finds another ride. The clip stops as the ride pulls up, leaving the choice hanging there. Radio Rental stays in its usual strange lane: Terry is ridiculous, but the story runs on practical details, tiny decisions, and a bad feeling that keeps tightening.

As heard by us

A routine airport decision turns into a slow-burn scare.
