Why is you do wib wob with grub gub? With Laura Lexx

·49 min·3 clips
Laura says the answer to "Would you rather" is "Arms" after weighing pasta clothes against extra birthdays.
Tiernan opens by worrying that Radio Nonsense needs to be bigger and louder. His first idea is the obvious bad one: book a celebrity, and not just any celebrity, but Dennis Tremendous, the world's most famous bonsai tree, introduced as though he has been lurking in the background of everything all along. Laura joins in and the whole thing slides sideways into a conversation about wisdom, with Laura arguing that facts should be passed on because conversations get better when people share the useful stuff. She is not shy about the idea. Instead, she treats it like a practical habit, saying that giving away wisdom makes space for new wisdom, while the old kind hangs around faintly like a memory you still half-recognize. Tiernan is delighted. He pushes it further by asking what happens if you share everything and then worry you have turned into an idiot, only to land on Laura's answer that wisdom can always be given back, almost like tennis. The tone stays gleefully daft. From there, the episode checks its family-friendly guardrails, with Tiernan spelling out that the audience could be 6, 26, 406, 1006, or even old enough to belong to the Ice Age or the Bronze Age. He asks about rude words. Laura starts to dodge a rude-word example without ever crossing the line, and the joke leans into the show's habit of circling the edge of a bad word without actually saying it. The banter keeps rolling. Tiernan then goes looking for the secret to universal appeal, floating absurd ideas such as farting la boo-boos, turning everything into K-pop, or making the whole thing happen six or seven times over just to see what lands. None of it settles him down. He switches on the TV for inspiration, only to land on a fake headline about a horrible idiot with rotten apples in his ears snubbing Dennis Tremendous, which sends the bit swinging back toward public spectacle. The crowd becomes part of the joke. Outside Comedy Club for Kids HQ, listeners are suddenly treated like an actual gathering, and Tiernan steps out to greet them as if the show has accidentally become a live event with a very confused tree at the center. The energy never turns polite. It ends the way the show likes best, with a fast, silly burst of noise, invented importance, and enough nonsense to make the whole thing feel like a secret club for anyone willing to follow the daft logic all the way through.
