Ep. 5579: Minne- Sorta?

April 9, 2026·1 hr 31 min·8 clips
Preston Scott claims there is 'no other name under heaven' for salvation, citing the Shroud of Turin and AI renderings as evidence.
The train crash is finally gone. After three mornings with a bad first five minutes, Preston takes the quiet inbox as a sign that Frank and the team fixed the opening stretch. He still starts with scripture. Acts 4:12 turns into a direct faith marker, with Jesus, resurrection, the Bible's books, and the shroud pulled into one big claim. Then the show gets local fast. Steve Stewart joins, and the conversation moves to trends that local officials may not be putting in front of commissions often enough. Preston wants pressure, not polite shrugging. Police chiefs, sheriffs, county commissions, city commissions, budget meetings, and school concerns all get treated as public duties, not background chatter. The argument runs hot enough that time gets away from them. The last segment turns to Jeremy Matlow involving himself in an issue Steve connects to the mayoral race. Missy's law becomes the center of the story. Steve says the law came out of a Leon County case involving a man found guilty after being arrested in a sting involving a minor. Then comes the part Preston cannot let go. The state attorney asked for the man to be held before sentencing, but the judge allowed bail after the guilty verdict. Preston keeps interrupting because that is the whole point to him: found guilty at trial should not mean going home to wait. The story gets darker from there. Steve says Missy, the man's stepdaughter, was beaten to death before sentencing, and the man and his wife were later arrested for murder. The segment puts judicial discretion, political positioning, and public safety into one ugly local argument, with little patience for procedural fog. The close fixes another problem. Preston says a podcast interview will be changed because he trusted a listener's inaccurate story. He owns it and says the section will be cut instead of pushed forward. Tomorrow fills up quickly: Paul Renner, What's the Beef, Best and Worst, Good News to Be, Masters Thursday, and weather.
