How to Tell If Your Agency Is Performing (Not Just Reporting)

March 10, 2026·46 min·3 clips
If every sale disappears when remarketing stops, the reported 5X ROAS is not the full story.
The frame is blunt. An agency can point to Meta and say things look great. The VP of marketing still has to ask what actually happened. The promo read is tied into that idea: three free deep dive audits, described as $10,000 audits, with a two-plus-week review by seven or eight team members. It stays close to the lesson because the pitch promises checks on media buying, creative, and business metrics. Then the example gets useful. Someone sent email and text to roughly a thousand people and found out the mobile submission path was broken. That becomes the gut check. If leadership cannot rerun every journey themselves, a new employee can walk it and bring back the uncomfortable list of what worked and what failed. The standard is basic on purpose. At minimum, the business should know whether major website changes or journey breaks hurt the path from message to form submission. Their own process is tighter. One page drives growth, so the team tests it every single week, with the webmaster spending about 10 minutes on it. Automation gets a quick nod. One speaker says this kind of recurring journey check could become an agentic AI task later, then brings it back to the human workflow they use now. That leads into agency reviews. In a weekly or monthly review, the first useful question is whether last week's performance matched what the agency expected. Treat it like a temperature check. The dashboard can start the conversation, but the agency still has to explain expectations, gaps, and what the next initiative should change.
