A Few Good Afromen

March 26, 2026·1 hr 33 min·5 clips
A cop admits he doesn't know if Afro Man actually slept with his wife, destroying the defamation case.
The conversation starts tired. Brad calls the show a weekly pop-culture assessment, then gives Mira a mock-grand introduction that deflates itself almost immediately. Mira meets him there. She thanks him for making her sound mysterious, then says she is not mysterious at all, which sets the tone: loose, self-aware, and a little silly. Then Black Bag comes in. The book-club promo keeps circling back until it turns into a bit, with Brad and Mira nudging the title into a small color joke. The ad is almost beside the point. The fun is the rhythm. From there, they drift from one tiny household task into a bigger comedy of avoidance. Mira has been putting something off. At first she calls it men's work, then admits Tyler is not doing it and starts wondering if it has quietly become Mira work. The problem is comically small. Payment is not the issue, she says. The hard part is putting the hook in the ground and hanging the thing. Brad gets gently impatient. He sounds half ready to drive over that afternoon, less to prove anything than to end a very dumb errand. Therapy slips in from the side. Mira pictures herself after the appointment as small, changed, and thoughtful, while Brad asks if therapy is mostly about childhood. Mira gives the less dramatic answer. It is a place for the week, the odd incident, the bad feeling, and sometimes the question of where that feeling started. Sometimes it goes somewhere stranger. One recent session, she says, got pulled into the Noam Chomsky and Epstein allegations, which hits because it is serious and ridiculous at the same time. Then Brad asks the soft question: has he ever come up in therapy, and if so, is he Brad there, or a confused, frightened earthling obsessed with podcasting?

As heard by us

A loose, funny hang that turns sponsor chatter and therapy talk into easy chemistry.

The episode is a loose, funny weekly pop culture check-in that spends a bit too long in sponsor chatter and therapy talk before settling into the easy back-and-forth that makes Brad and Mira work.
