5/16/24 On The Mark with Joe McGranaghan

·44 min·4 clips

Tom from Sunbury argues abortion will 'kill' Trump and claims Trump has dementia.

The episode begins with host Joe McGranaghan explaining technical issues, as he operates from the producer's chair due to a loud hum in the main studio. He mentions a missed interview with CBS White House reporter Linda Kenyon about the debates. The first caller, Stan from Danville, questions why Biden wants no audience for the debates, suggesting it's to hide his true self. Another caller proposes Trump should demand ear inspections for earpieces. Dan, the Trump man from New Berlin, argues the deck is stacked against Trump with CNN hosts like Jake Tapper, but believes Trump can handle it. Tom from Sunbury calls in, claiming Biden will 'mop up the floor' with Trump over abortion, and accuses Trump of having dementia, leading to a heated exchange with the host. Chris from Milton praises Biden's debate move as brilliant but calls Trump a scumbag, debating the credibility of tabloid publisher David Pecker's testimony. Mike from Bloomsburg, known as MAGA Mike, discusses Trump's Hannibal Lecter comment, arguing it was sarcastic and media-distorted. Stan calls back to accuse Biden of 'scumbaggery' over the Hunter Biden laptop and Russian collusion. A later caller mentions Trump bragging about walking through Miss Universe locker rooms, calling it creepy. The episode includes multiple ad breaks for local sponsors like Sunbury Motor Company, Surplus Allett, and Optima Tax Relief. The host concludes by thanking listeners for bearing with the technical challenges.

As heard by us

On the Mark turns technical trouble into direct-call politics on Biden, Trump, and a Hannibal Lecter joke.

Technical difficulties give this edition of On the Mark a looser charge, with the host away from the usual setup, working without a producer, and taking calls straight on air.
