Superman races to save Major Dover from crocodiles as a temple lake mysteriously fills with water.

Welcome back, everybody. The host sets up parts five and six as the end of the Mayan Treasure storyline, and the trouble is already in motion. Major Dover and Chief Tasso were headed for the temple when the water came up and the alligators moved in. Someone has sold them out. The host keeps it casual, but the aside lands. The betrayal feels obvious in that satisfying serial way. Then Superman Saturdays gets going for real. The old Superman narration returns, with Clark Kent beside Major Dover and pilot Jack Corboy. The story does not linger. Kent, Dover, and Chief Tasso fall into darkness when the floor opens under them in the ceremonial hall. Close by, the treasure is already being boxed up. A robed high priest and his companion hurry precious stones and gold images into chests, planning to carry them down to the river and load them onto Dover's plane. Their plan keeps getting nastier. They want to lure the pilot ashore, take the aircraft, and leave the trapped men sealed below the altar. Then Esther becomes the problem. One villain wants to leave her behind as a living goddess. The high priest wants to take her to Mexico as his wife. That argument turns ugly fast. A knife comes out, and the scene has the old radio mix of temple peril, treasure-room plotting, and big cliff-edge melodrama. Afterward, the host comes back, calls the storyline fun, brings up Major Dover, Bert, Tasso, Camaro, and Jack Corboy, then points listeners toward Professor Thorpe's Bathysphere.
