Love Levels

Love is the doorway. The host starts with the way people use that word for apple pie, dogs, and the ordinary things that pull affection out of us. It feels playful at first. Then a story about a hurt little dog shifts the room toward sacrifice, because love becomes easier to see when it costs something. From there, the sermon gets sharper. The point is not that every kind of love is equal. It is that different loves show their level by what someone is willing to give. John 3:16 carries the sermon. The familiar verse becomes a measure of love: God loved the world and gave his only begotten Son. That is not pie love. The host presses into Jesus giving his life as a perfect lamb, rising from the grave, and making that victory available to people he calls friends. The teaching keeps coming back to the wideness of God's love. Jesus did not come for one group only. He came for everybody around the world. Nobody gets ranked out. The host names the lie that someone is not worthy, then answers it with God's desire to love people across every difference. That is where the message turns. Love gives, and the highest love in the sermon is Jesus giving himself for the world. The close moves toward relationship. Whether someone has known God before, drifted away, or is coming back like the prodigal, love is still available. The ending feels grateful and victorious, with the risen Savior held up as a King people can celebrate today.
