Moving Forward in Faith, Hope & Love | Ps Liz Trotter

December 28, 2025·37 min·3 clips
Smith Wigglesworth ministered at Richmond Temple and saw miraculous healings through his 'only believe' faith.
Here we are, church family. The message opens on the last Sunday service of 2025, with the Christmas season still close and the birth of Jesus named as God's precious gift. The tone is encouragement. She says the congregation needs encouragement from God's Word as they head toward 2026, now three days away. Faith comes first, and she keeps it plain: childlike trust in God, the kind that simply believes. Hope comes next through Romans 15:13, where the God of hope fills people with joy and peace as they trust him. The strength does not come from human effort. She keeps pointing back to the Holy Spirit, because hope overflows by God's power. The salvation thread is direct too. Receiving Jesus is connected with receiving the Spirit of God, and listeners are encouraged to ask the Holy Spirit for help. Then it gets practical. She talks about the gift of tongues as something believers can seek, comparing it to plugging into a power socket for everyday life with God. Hope here is more than optimism. It is faith-filled hope for living God's purpose each day, even when circumstances feel hard or unclear. She ties deep happiness to knowing that purpose, with the joy of the Lord from Nehemiah 8:10 named as strength. Prayer becomes daily surrender. The Lord's Prayer is presented as a way to give every area of life to God and ask forgiveness where things have gone wrong. The close is a clear invitation: confess Jesus as Lord, turn from the old way of life, receive eternal life, and ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

As heard by us

A plain year-end sermon centered on hope, trust, and a steady move into the new year.

Year-end sermon with a plain, pastoral voice, set against the last Sunday service of 2025 and the turn into 2026. It stays close to Scripture and keeps the live-room feel intact, so the appeal lands with some immediacy rather than drifting into abstraction.
