The Fog Campaign - Episode 1 (with Jenny Zigrino)

·1 hr 3 min·5 clips

Brian Posehn launches the Fog Campaign where a cursed, murderous fog engulfs a seaside town.

The episode opens with Brian Posehn introducing the new Fog Campaign on Nerd Poker, joined by regular players Chris, Blaine, Ken, Engineer Sam, and Dungeon Master Dan Telfer. Sarah is absent from this campaign but will finish bonus episodes on Patreon. Brian explains the campaign's name involves a cursed, murdery fog in the town of Delsmith. Guest Jenny Zigrino is introduced as a comedian who will play an NPC. Dan reads a letter from the thief Lil Peepers, detailing how a cursed fog causes mind-control murders in Delsmith and offering treasure in exchange for help. The players roll dice to determine who arrives first at the fortune teller shop. Jenny, as Glendale, gives tarot readings to each character: Brian's Joffrey gets the Magician and Chariot cards with a warning about women; Ken's Shalab gets reversed cards hinting at blocked energy and a goat; Blaine's Siam Spade gets the Three of Cups and Queen of Cups with depression warnings; Chris's Twidden gets the reversed Knight of Pentacles and Nine of Cups with arrogance cautions. The group is chased out of the shop and meets Lil Peepers, a half-Loxodon, half-Halfling with an eye patch. They discuss their high-level character stats: Brian's rogue has high dexterity and intelligence, Blaine's tabaxi has magical abilities, Chris's bard has fey-touched lineage and silver tongue ability, and Ken's sorcerer has detective skills. Dan shows a HeroForge miniature of Lil Peepers and mentions sponsors like Titmouse Studios. Brian addresses Sarah's absence, noting it was her decision due to scheduling. Dan promotes his dungeon master workshops at schools and gigs in Tacoma and Denver. The episode concludes with teasers for the next session and Patreon promotions.
