#1049 - WDW Trip Report with Rebecca (Part 2 of 2)

·31 min·3 clips
A manatee at Epcot's aquarium made direct eye contact with a special needs boy, ignoring everyone else.
This episode is part two of Rebecca's Walt Disney World trip report with her husband Steve and son Joey. It begins with a shout-out to cast members Gigi and Bill at the Riviera Resort gift shop for their meticulous service. Rebecca then recounts their Epcot day, starting with the water feature and Finding Nemo ride. A highlight occurs at the aquarium where a manatee spontaneously approaches a special needs boy, creating an emotional moment. The family rides Figment, with Rebecca explaining her personal connection to the ride's chaotic imagery. They watch Pixar shorts, which Joey finds hilarious but notes the vintage cartoons' violence. Joey's interest leads them to the Japan pavilion via boat to avoid the heat. After Steve and Joey leave, Rebecca explores Epcot solo, visiting the annual passholder lounge in Morocco and meeting Mulan for the first time. In line, she meets Zach Harris, a Disney fan who immediately subscribes to the podcast. She checks out the Goof-tastic summer activity for kids and misses a photo with Phineas and Ferb. The next day, Rebecca visits Hollywood Studios alone, heading straight to the new Villains show where the audience votes for the 'most misunderstood villain.' She also observes the updated Disney Junior area, spotting Clarabelle the cow coloring with kids. After seeing the Little Mermaid show and getting a Ronto wrap, she meets the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda. That evening, she dines alone at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom before packing for an early Mears pickup to the airport, where she flies to Fort Lauderdale to meet Steve for their Disney cruise.
