Ep16: Girls with extra oil (Mth. 25)

May 30, 2025·12 min·1 clip

The foolish young women's lamps go out, they are denied oil, and miss the wedding feast because they weren't prepared.

Dr. Shaney Nett uses the Biblical parable of the ten young women (five wise, five foolish) from Matthew 25 to teach children the financial concept of 'margin'—having extra resources saved for unexpected situations. She narrates the story, involves her children in discussion, and provides a practical game activity to reinforce the lesson about preparation.
