·18 min·1 clip

Mr. X won over the hosts when he broke out the Heelys during his first appearance in Amphibia.

The episode begins with hosts GC13 and David introducing their discussion of the sixth pair of episodes from Amphibia's third season. They start by analyzing Mr. X, a new FBI agent character, noting his unique personality and memorable use of Heelys. The hosts explore Mr. X's relationship with his silent partner Jenny and his unfazed attitude after the frogs escape. They examine the contradiction between Mr. X's seemingly low-budget operation and his ability to summon large numbers of FBI agents. The conversation shifts to the ice cream van's gadgetry, including its ability to grow legs and bypass traffic. The hosts then discuss the theater experience in Sprig's birthday episode, noting Sprig's reaction to loud sounds versus Polly's enthusiasm. They touch on movie cameos, including references to Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. The analysis moves to the cultural aspects of birthday celebrations, comparing frog traditions of reflection with human expectations of grand celebrations. The hosts highlight Anne's insecurity about not knowing Sprig's birthday and her attempt to make it perfect. They note the episode's subtle handling of cultural differences without moralizing. The discussion includes minor characters like Blair the balloonist and the mariachi band at the restaurant. The hosts speculate about whether Sprig's new telescope will become important later in the series. They conclude with the humorous reveal that Anne's dad was in the parking lot the entire time, commenting on cartoon logic and pacing.
