THE JANEWAY PODCAST PROGRAM | After "Time and Again"

·26 min·1 clip
Voyager crew members debate bad parenting while managing alien crises.
After the dream, Janeway is still trying to sound composed. Breb starts the podcasting program, and the whole thing immediately behaves like a Starfleet system that has decided it also wants to be a host. It does not help. A sensor report about an M-class planet, humanoid life, and a pre-warp civilization turns into calm bridge talk that only exists right before the nonsense gets worse. It gets worse. Janeway and Breb keep insisting that nothing bad happened, which is exactly the sort of sentence this show uses to signal that several bad things are already underway. The joke is procedure. Warnings, confirmations, and abrupt system messages keep cutting in, so the episode feels like a machine trying to format chaos into a memo. That machine keeps complaining. The conversation wanders into Starfleet uniforms, alien clothing, ear-flap hats, color-blocked costumes, and the practical problem of not looking like a demon when you walk into the room. Then comes improv. The pair talk about theater training, espionage training, and the absurd idea that Starfleet might have had improv groups with names like Set Phasers to Fun or Boothby's Thorny Roses. They mean it. Even the ridiculousness gets treated like serious institutional memory, which is why the bit keeps finding new torque instead of collapsing into random shouting. A performance space and a way to pass time on the ship come up as if they are ordinary scheduling problems. Then the ship interrupts. A final warning says one more podcast break is needed to stabilize the programs, and the closing stretch turns into a muddy, deadpan shrug at temporal anomalies, space madness, and another endless week. Janeway calls it another week. The computer ends with a deactivation cue and a final readout of 750 temporal anomalies in the last 24 hours, which is a suitably ridiculous place to stop.

As heard by us

A Voyager parody that turns routine debriefs into procedural nonsense.

This parody pushes a Starfleet debrief into full deadpan chaos, with Janeway, Breb, and the bridge crew treating a bad dream, a strange planet report, and the arrival of the podcasting program as if they were all routine paperwork.
