Korvax's command points to 'the room of my son' and a hidden tome.
The party is coming off the dungeon fight under Korvak's keep. Deleth, Jarek, Sarsa, Salewis, and groundskeeper Kinkoo named Broon have already fought vampire guards and Ulf, the bodyguard who turned into a werewolf. Ulf gets away. They do not leave Popol behind. Popol, once thought dead, is found in a cell. Sarsa uses greater restoration on him, and the spell hits like radiant pain. The light singes his skin and leaves him reeling. Deleth watches his brother fold down onto all fours and breathe hard. The table immediately starts asking whether the magic worked. Jarek and Sarsa want to check him closely. Medicine or religion can tell them more. The group still cannot quite tell whether Popol is simply changed or something stranger. From there, the pace drops into a quiet climb. Deleth lands on the keep's top tower parapet with a soft thump. He makes a stealth check and stays hidden. The rope is already in play, and the group starts looking for something solid to tie it to. The answer is mostly loose stone, crossbows, and a lot of improvisation. One player treats the rope like it should know what to do. The party keeps talking through the crossing while the line goes taut. After that, the group rides on, with armor being adjusted and bags being packed. By the end, they crest the hills, see the Frost Fang Mountains, and hear Susanna warn them that the road ahead runs straight through them.

As heard by us

A rescue episode where pain, rope work, and the road to the Frost Fang Mountains keep everything moving.

Popol's rescue has a bruise under it. The episode does not rush past the aftermath of Sarsa's greater restoration, and that hesitation gives the scene its weight.
