Continuing In Dominion - Stay Ready

·1 hr 16 min·5 clips
A four-and-a-half-foot snake shows up on the driveway right after the conference.
The message opens with Genesis 1. He keeps returning to being made in God's image and given dominion over the fish, the birds, the cattle, the earth, and every creeping thing, and he treats that overlooked verse as the center of the sermon. He lingers on snakes. The serpent becomes a picture of the pressure believers face, and he brings in Paul's warning about deception to say the church cannot let outside confusion set the terms. He calls it underused. Again and again he comes back to the idea that Christians have let dominion slip, then reframes the word as something active, practical, and meant to show up in daily life, not just church language. The room stays engaged. Call and response keeps the pace moving, with questions about whether believers really have dominion and whether the audience understands what that means for ordinary resistance. He keeps moving. From there he connects the message to the church's recent ministry moments, saying that healing gatherings, finance teaching, men's meetings, and women's conferences all carry real spiritual effect and can draw pushback that tries to blunt their fruit. Nothing is random. He treats that pushback as retaliation from the enemy, a snake-like attempt to rob, beguile, or distract people right when they are being strengthened. He stays in the Scriptures. Paul's refusal to see himself as inferior becomes a model for rejecting counterfeit authority, and that line gives the sermon a sharper edge against what he sees as foolish information and spiritual imitation. He turns practical again. The talk widens into everyday life at home, in leadership, in generosity, and in the way ordinary believers have to learn how to stand under pressure without giving up the ground they were given. Prayer keeps building. He says he has been up since 2 this morning praying, tells the room to study Psalm 18, and then moves everybody toward worship, asking for reverence, healing, and a posture that remembers God's greater authority. The ending is direct. He invites those who need prayer to respond, those able to stand to stand, and those who do not know Jesus to consider that call while the service closes in worship and altar ministry.

As heard by us

A fast-moving sermon about dominion, alertness, and resisting the serpent's influence.

The sermon keeps circling dominion, moving from Genesis 1 to Paul's warning about the serpent beguiling Eve. Its point is plain: believers have let that authority slip, and the church needs to remember what it was given.
